Release Notes & Build Description:
1. 🎨 Master Brand Visual Tokens & Artie ⚡ 5-Color Mood System • What Changed: Standardized the brand color palette (Color.kt) and Material 3 theme (Theme.kt) across all light and dark UI surfaces. Refactored Artie ⚡ (The Real Time Guide) mascot canvas rendering (ArtieMascotView.kt) to strictly enforce the 5-color mood system enum (ArtieMood: Ocean Teal GUIDE, Emerald Green RELAXED, Amber WARNING, Sapphire Blue FINANCIAL, Sunset Pink HYPE). Updated UI overlays and bottom sheets (ArtieCharacterOverlay.kt, ArtieHelpBottomSheet.kt, ArtieSpotlightOverlay.kt). • Testing Impact: - Visual Polish: Observe Artie's breathing aura, radial gradients, and orbital node emblems dynamically updating across Onboarding (GUIDE), Daily Schedule Pacing (RELAXED), Passport Expiry Alerts (WARNING), Shared Pot / Settle Balances (FINANCIAL), and Hype Share Sheets (HYPE). - Contrast Compliance: Verify high-contrast readability across all surface cards, dialogs, and text headers in both Light and Dark mode. 2. 🔐 Hilt Dependency Injection & Central SSO Auth Integration • What Changed: Injected central AuthModule into the Hilt DI graph with AuthTokenProvider, JwtAuthInterceptor, and authenticated OkHttpClient. Updated SyncEngine to attach SSO JWT Bearer headers during WebSocket handshakes while strictly preserving zero-knowledge client-side AES-256-GCM payload encryption. Connected tester voucher ALPHA-2026 to central /v1/vouchers/validate endpoint with seamless local fallback. • Testing Impact: - Voucher Validation: Redeem tester voucher code ALPHA-2026 in Guided Setup or Non-Guided Wizard to trigger central voucher verification (with automatic offline fallback if network is unavailable). - Authenticated Sync: WebSocket sync (wss://grouptrip.realtimedigitalservices.com/sync) automatically injects authenticated JWT Bearer headers on connection upgrade. 3. 🔗 Deep Linking & Universal App Link Guest Routing • What Changed: Registered custom URI schemes (rt-grouptrip:// and grouptrip://) and Android App Links (https://grouptrip.realtimedigitalservices.com/join) with auto-verification in AndroidManifest.xml. Implemented deep link intent parsing in MainActivity.kt to extract tripId and tripSecret. • Testing Impact: - Deep Link Test: Tapping an invite link (e.g., rt-grouptrip://join?tripId=<ID>&secret=<KEY> or https://grouptrip.realtimedigitalservices.com/join?...) directly opens the app and routes into the Universal Guest Join flow with pre-populated trip parameters. 4. 🧮 Math Inspector, Debt Minimizer & Partial Payment Handshakes • What Changed: Refactored SettlementCalculator and expense settlement UI. Added a "View How It's Calculated 🧮" step-by-step Math Inspector modal, support for logging partial balance payments, and 2-way receiver handshakes (🤝 Acknowledged). • Testing Impact: - Debt Settlement Test: Log shared trip expenses with custom/equal splits, tap "View How It's Calculated 🧮" to inspect step-by-step balance square-up math, log partial payments, and acknowledge promised payment dates. 5. 🛡️ Zero-Knowledge E2EE Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) Controls • What Changed: Enforced client-side AES-256-GCM encryption for Sensitive Personal Information (SPI: passports, emergency contacts, medical notes). Added automatic passport masking (•••• •••• 5678) with local unmask toggle, 6-month validity warning badge, admin verification badges, and a 1-tap "Purge My Sensitive SPI Data 🗑️" action in Member Profile. • Testing Impact: - Privacy Verification: Enter passport or emergency contact details in Member Profile to verify client-side AES-256-GCM encryption before sync. Confirm trip admins see verification badges (Passport: Registered ✅) rather than unencrypted SPI. 6. 🧪 Compose UI Test & Theme Compatibility Polish • What Changed: Standardized Compose UI test harness (GroupTripComposeUiTest.kt) to utilize MyApplicationTheme for Compose rule test setup. Verified 100% build pass rate across unit tests and UI test tasks. • Testing Impact: - Test Infrastructure: All automated UI tests and unit tests run cleanly against the updated Material 3 theme system.

📖 Side-Loading & Installation Guide

How to install, update, and uninstall unsigned Android APK packages

1Installing Unsigned APK

When opening the downloaded .apk file in Chrome or Files, Android will prompt "Install unknown apps". Tap Settings and toggle "Allow from this source", then return to complete installation.

2Updating Without Data Loss

To update to a new build, simply download and open the new APK. Android installs it directly over your existing app. Your Room SQLCipher database and offline records remain intact.

3Uninstalling Standardly

Unsigned apps are uninstalled like any Play Store app: long-press the app icon on your home screen, select App Info, and tap Uninstall.
